drum and dance workshops:
mbolo drum and dance school invites you to experience and learn the vibrant traditions and rhythms of traditional West African music. We offer two- to three-week tailored workshops from October through April. Our workshops aim to make you enjoy an enriching collective experience. Sessions begin mid-morning and run until around 2 p.m.
drum and dance classes:
Individual and small-group tuition is available on request all the year round. Moussa Sillah, our musical director and head drummer, and his fellow members of the mbolo drum and dance school teach various instruments (djembé, dundun bass drum, talking drum, ballaphon, kora) and dance.
